Deputies seeking man who went missing in Lancaster

LANCASTER >> Authorities are seeking the public’s help today in finding a 64-year-old man with dementia who went missing in Lancaster.

Michael Leroy Shavers was last seen, possibly boarding a bus, in the area of West Avenue J and 30th Street West at 5:30 p.m. Friday, said Deputy Lisa Jansen of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Shavers, who also suffers from diabetes and seizures, is described as black, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 130 pounds, with short gray hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a blue baseball hat.

Anyone with information about Shavers’ whereabouts was asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Person’s Detail at 323-890-5500.
